The Studio works in the middle of a chain of value adding partners: data providers, curriculum builders, informatics experts, teachers, students. Together we forge the tools that connect millions of students to exabytes of data. We build the tools that will grow academic research collections through a groupware solution. And we visualize the science that is leading the human efforts to combat human-induced climate change.
The Studio produces digital content for a variety of outlets. From documentary videos for theatrical and university distribution, to streaming web and podcasting, the Studio has the team and the equipment to get the job done. The Studio's New Media Research Institute (NMRI) is responsible for media research and development.

The Studio has a small in-house staff for programming and administration, and a larger network of talented experts for graphics, evaluation, programming, and other project-based needs.
They guide the efforts of the Studio and all of its components.
